Who we are

This website is operated by ASACE Labs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16516913). For the purposes of UK data protection law, ASACE Labs Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.

What this notice covers

This notice covers the asacelabs.com website only. Our software products are separate services; where one of them handles personal information, it carries its own privacy notice, provided with the product.

If you are looking for the privacy policy of our training app, that is the Cairn: Form privacy policy, a different document, covering the app rather than this website.

What the website collects

The website is a set of static pages. It does not use analytics, advertising or marketing scripts, tracking pixels, or any third-party embeds. It sets no cookies and does not use browser storage. The site uses your device's system fonts, without requests to an external font provider.

There are no accounts to create and nothing to log in to. The website has two forms: the Cairn: Form waitlist and the project enquiry form, both described below. We do not build a profile of you and we do not sell or share personal information.

The Cairn: Form waitlist

If you join the waitlist at asacelabs.com/form/waitlist/, we store the email address you type and the date you joined. Nothing else from the page is recorded: no name, no analytics, no cookie, and no profile. The lawful basis is your consent, given by submitting the form.

We use that address for one thing: to tell you when Cairn: Form is available, and how to claim the introductory month. We delete the list once those launch emails have been sent, and sooner for any address we are asked to remove. Write to support@asacelabs.com and we will take you off it straight away.

The form posts to our own API at api.asacelabs.com, which runs on Cloudflare Workers with a Cloudflare D1 database; no third-party marketing or mailing-list service is involved. To stop the form being abused, that service keeps a one-way hash of the sending IP address with a count of recent attempts, and deletes it within an hour. The IP address itself is not stored.

Project enquiries

If you send the enquiry form at asacelabs.com/build/, we receive your name, your email address and whatever else you choose to tell us in the form: your business, the software you use, what you would like built, a rough budget, a timeline and how you heard about us. We use it to reply to you and to discuss the project. The lawful basis is the steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

The form is delivered to our inbox at hello@asacelabs.com by Web3Forms, a form-to-email service that acts as our processor. From there it is handled like any other email to us, as described under "If you email us". The page sets no cookie and adds no analytics.

If you book a call from that page, the booking is made through Google Calendar appointment scheduling. Google receives the name, email address and any notes you enter, so that the call can be arranged, and handles them as our calendar provider. We use them only to hold the call and follow up on your enquiry.

Information our hosting provider processes

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As with any website, our hosting provider necessarily processes technical information in order to deliver pages to you and to keep the service secure and available. That typically includes your IP address, the page requested, and information your browser sends such as its user-agent string.

We rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure, functioning website as the lawful basis for this processing. Cloudflare acts as our processor and handles this data under its own terms and retention periods.

If you email us

If you write to support@asacelabs.com, we will hold your email address, your message and any information you choose to include, so that we can read and reply to it. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our company and products, or the steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.

Email is delivered and stored by our email service provider on our behalf. We keep correspondence only for as long as it is useful for the matter it relates to and for our ordinary business records, and then delete it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over personal information we hold about you, including the right to:

• ask for a copy of it;
• ask us to correct it if it is wrong;
• ask us to delete it, or to restrict how we use it;
• object to our use of it where we rely on legitimate interests.

To exercise any of these, email support@asacelabs.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this notice

If we change how this website works (for example by adding analytics or a contact form), we will update this notice before that change goes live, and change the date shown at the top of this page.
