Cairn: Form
Delete your account
You can delete your Cairn: Form account yourself, in the app, in a few taps. If you cannot get to the app, you can ask us to delete it for you by email.
Delete it yourself, in the app
This is the quickest route, and it is immediate and permanent. Finish or discard any workout in progress first.
- Open Cairn: Form and sign in, if you are not already signed in.
- Go to Profile.
- Choose Delete account.
- Confirm twice. The second confirmation carries out the deletion.
Nothing is held in a recycle bin or a grace period: once the second confirmation goes through, the account is gone and the training data on that device is cleared. If you want to keep a record of your training, write it down somewhere else first.
If you have already removed the app
Reinstalling Form and signing in with the same Apple or Google account returns you to the same Form account, so you can delete it in the app as above. Your training history will not come back, because it was only ever on the device, but the account is the same one, and deleting it there is immediate.
If you would rather not reinstall, email us using the link above. Because your account holds no name and no email address, we cannot identify it from an email address alone, so we will write back and agree a way to establish that the account is yours before deleting anything. We will not delete an account on an unverified request, which is the same protection that stops someone else deleting yours.
What deleting your account removes
- your sign-in identity with us: which provider you used and that provider's opaque identifier for you;
- every sign-in session on every device, so each one is signed out;
- Form's Sign in with Apple access, which we revoke with Apple where Apple was the provider you used;
- the account's training data on the device you delete from: your profile, programme, logged workouts, history, saved Rowan replies and kept conversations, and your Rowan permission.
Your training was never stored with your account and never synced to us, so there is no copy of it on our side to delete, and none for us to restore. Removing the app also clears the training data it stored on that device.
What is kept, and for how long
- An anonymous record that an account existed and was deleted: the account identifier and the date, with the sign-in identity removed, so nothing in it points back to you. We keep it indefinitely so that a deleted account cannot be silently reused.
- Purchase and subscription records held by Apple, Google and RevenueCat, our subscription provider, under their own retention periods. This is also what lets a purchase be restored, and what the stores keep for tax and accounting.
- Email correspondence, if you have written to us, for as long as it is useful for the matter it relates to and for our ordinary business records, and then deleted.
- Operational logs for our account service and Rowan's server, which record the method, route, status and duration of a request and no message content. Where you messaged Rowan, OpenAI may retain the request for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring before deleting it, under its API terms.
Your subscription is separate
Deleting your Form account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, and neither does removing the app. Cancel it in your App Store subscription settings or your Google Play subscription settings. If you want both, cancel the subscription first: afterwards you will have no account to sign in with, but the store will still bill the subscription.
Deleting only some of your data
There is no separate request to make for this, because the data is in your hands. In the app you can change or clear your profile and training inputs, delete a Rowan conversation or a saved reply, withdraw your Rowan permission, and use Clear this device’s Form data on the sign-in screen to remove local training data while leaving the account intact. What we hold for an account is only the sign-in identity and sessions described above; deleting the account is what removes it.
Questions, and your rights
ASACE Labs Ltd is the data controller for your Form account. The Cairn: Form privacy policy sets out what the app stores and what is shared with Apple, Google, RevenueCat and Rowan's model provider; the support page covers subscriptions, sign-in and bugs; the Terms of Use apply to the app itself.
As well as deletion, you have the right to ask for a copy of personal information we hold, to have it corrected, to have its use restricted, and to object to its use where we rely on legitimate interests. Email support@asacelabs.com to exercise any of them. If you are unhappy with how we handle a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
